Kebun Seni

Kebun Seni is a creative learning place to create a work of art and foster creative ideas by playing games in a green environment.

The participants of Kebun Seni are invited to become human beings who can solve problems with creative ideas and love a green and pollution-free environment.

Vision and Mission

  1. Personal learning experience (learning by experience) in creating green spaces.

  2. Get to know the process of farming starting from seeds, fertilizing plants, growth, until the harvest period according to the type of each variety.

  3. Recognizing the shape, color, and texture of plants, fruit, and flowers so as to produce beautiful works of art and have high artistic value.

  4. Can stimulate the younger generation to be able to solve various problems creatively.

  5. Forming the younger generation not to hesitate to go directly and be involved in reforestation activities, love outdoor activities that are creative and dynamic so that they have a positive impact on children's health and development.

Why gardening?

By gardening, we learn to love the nature around us. Students are also invited to learn to see natural colors from nature, movement, growth, sharpen the sense of touch, smell, hearing, eyes, etc.

Seeing that the pollution level around us is getting thicker, Kebun Seni aspires to create an atmosphere of relaxation (feeling calm) that can develop children’s imagination. Kebun Seni itself develops an area to grow vegetables, flowers, fruits with hydroponic and organic methods.

Kebun Seni also wants to enrich the knowledge of today’s young generation about various types of plants directly. By going directly into nature, students are invited to love nature and dare to explore nature and finally be able to love PROCESS.

What does gardening have to do with Art?

In gardening we are taught to recognize the PROCESS, that a plant cannot grow big if it does not come from seeds first. There is a process of loosening the soil, preparing seeds, planting, watering, maintaining, sprouting, weeding pests, growing big, and finally bearing fruit. Everything takes time and there is always a season

It’s the same with art. At the Kebun Seni teaching, students are invited to enjoy every season of the arts in their lives. Learn from the basics first, such as: drawing straight lines, curves, composition, isometric shapes, point of view (perspective), shading according to media, colors, shading, mastery of space, textures, concepts, etc. Everything does not happen instantly but through a natural process that must be passed

Therefore, when students follow the teaching pattern, a high attitude of patience and perseverance will be created.

The stronger the FOUNDATION, the stronger the BUILDING.

Due to her experience since college in 2000 which has been actively teaching art and private classes, Vonny decided to establish Kebun Seni, driven by her love for the art world and the world of farming.

This aspiration emerged when Vonny saw that an artist also needed a place to communicate with each other, apart from pursuing her own art. So in 17 July 2017, Kebun Seni was created from a simple dream that became a reality.
